Voted Albuquerque’s Best Views! Come see what we see!
The views, the food & the atmosphere combine to make Sandiago's Mexican Grill At The Tram a favorite for locals and tourists alike.
The view on the east side of the restaurant is the beautiful Sandia Mountains; watch the Tramway go up and down the mountain and keep an eye out for deer and bobcats as you enjoy your food. The award winning views on the west side stretch from the Jemez Mountains to the north, all of Albuquerque, Mount Taylor due west and Los Lunas to the south.
Come for the homemade chips and salsa and stay for the creative coastal Mexican dishes, or you can enjoy a traditional New Mexican Entrée. Meals are topped off with some of the best deserts in town. The handcrafted oversized Margaritas are a great complement to any meal.
The Latin music and vibrant colors bring a smile to your face as you walk in the door. Make sure you notice Doogie's rooster on top of the beach hut bar.The show kitchen and the servers in their Hawaiian shirts make the dining experience a festive one.

A lot of really big thank yous go out: Sarah Palmer from CYFD who did a marvelous job of getting out the invitations and taking reservations, High Finance & Sandiago's 30 volunteers and their families who came in on their day off, US Foods for donating much of the food and Sandia Peak Tramway for giving the kids and their families a special rate on the tram.Restaurant Week

Those of us who live in the Albuquerque foothills frequent Sandiago's all the time. We love the food, ambience and the unbelievable vistas from inside and the outdoor patio. Even though we see these views all the time (lucky us), dining inexpensively at Sandiago's reminds us to settle in, relax, enjoy our friends and our extraordinary environment. The restaurant is very casual, as is all of Abq, Jeans and ski clothes are fine any time.
Many times, we get to chatting with other diners who are tourists and have just come off the Tram. We've met people from around the world and have had some wonderful conversations with them. They are so curious about how it is to live in Abq. We aren't shy about telling them it's the best place any of us have lived (we all come from different parts of the US).
I'm a vegetarian - there are several excellent dishes served here, especially the portobello mushroom stack. My non-veggie friends particularly enjoy the fish tacos (yup, great fish in the desert!) and the stews.
Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
